Trigonometric Identities and Equations

Learning Goal:

The goal of this unit is to prove trigonometric identities including double angle formulae, and to solve trigonometric equations both simple and complex.

Success Criteria:

By the end of this unit, I will be able to:
 
  • Use compound angle formula for addition and subtraction for the sin, cos and tan functions
  • Prove Trigonometric Identities using basic identities and double angle identities
  • Solve "linear" trigonometric equations
  • Solve "quadratic" trigonometric equations
